Display Dimmer is distributed through the Microsoft Store. The app stores its settings locally on your device, including brightness levels, schedule rules, app rules, themes, and feature preferences.
To provide its features, the app reads technical information about your system and displays, such as connected monitors, display capabilities like DDC/CI support, and basic Windows and graphics information. This information is used by the app to function and is not used to build a browsing or activity profile.
Display Dimmer sends a small amount of anonymous usage and reliability telemetry to help Vantari Works understand how the app is used and improve stability. This telemetry is event-based and may include:
The telemetry payload does not include your name, email address, Microsoft account identifier, payment information, personal documents, screenshots, browser history, full hardware IDs, or a persistent user/device identifier. It is used in aggregate to understand product usage and identify reliability issues.
Display Dimmer may offer to send a diagnostics report after a crash, hang, or serious reliability issue. Diagnostics reports are optional and are only sent if you choose to send them.
A diagnostics report may include technical information such as:
Diagnostics reports are designed to exclude personal files, screenshots, browser history, passwords, usernames, machine names, and personal file paths. Some device and runtime details may still be included because they are needed to investigate compatibility issues.
Diagnostics data is used only to investigate bugs, understand compatibility issues, and improve Display Dimmer. It is not sold to third parties or used for advertising.

Purchases and payment information for Display Dimmer and any future add-ons are handled directly by Microsoft. Vantari Works does not receive your full payment card details.
